Luis Angeles is the Owner and Founder of Angeles Law, LLC, an immigration and federal litigation firm headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, that serves clients in all 50 states. Under his leadership, the firm has grown into a multi-department practice handling the full spectrum of immigration matters — from affirmative USCIS filings to detained removal defense to federal court litigation that has shaped national case law.
Mariah Bueno
Immigration Attorney
Mariah Bueno is an immigration attorney with Angeles Law. She earned her Juris Doctor from Florida A&M University College of Law, where she developed a strong interest in advocacy and public service. Prior to law school, she attended the University of South Florida, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminology. Her educational background gave her a strong foundation in the legal system, criminal justice, and the complex issues that often intersect with immigration law.
Halimatou Bah
Immigration Attorney
Halimatou Bah was born in Guinea, West Africa, and brings a unique international perspective to her legal practice. She earned her undergraduate degree from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, where she double majored in International Studies and French. Her academic background fostered a deep appreciation for global affairs, cultural diversity, and the experiences of immigrant communities.

Growing up in Joliet, Illinois — a culturally rich city with a large Latino community — Elizabeth witnessed early on what it looked like when immigrant families had to navigate systems alone, with little guidance and a great deal of fear. She knew she wanted to take action.

Originally from Venezuela and now based in the United States for nearly a decade, Sheiles brings a perspective to this work that is both professional and deeply personal.

Her story doesn't begin in a law firm — it begins in Maracaibo, Venezuela, where she built a career as a licensed attorney, earned her law degree from Universidad Dr. Rafael Belloso Chacín in November 2011, and dedicated herself to defending those who needed it most.

Valeria Reyes Lozada grew up in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, and from an early age she understood what it meant to navigate systems that weren't built with people like her clients in mind. Her grandfather — a man she holds in deep respect — emigrated from the Dominican Republic to Puerto Rico in the 1950s in search of a better life. His journey, filled with uncertainty and resilience, planted a seed that would later shape her career. Years later, while living in Arizona, Valeria connected with immigrant workers from Mexico who carried that same determination — people who simply wanted a country where they could build a life, be with their families, and keep growing.

Marisol Perez brings a rare depth of legal training and lived experience to her role as Legal Assistant at Angeles Law. Born and raised in Valencia, Venezuela, she earned her law degree from Universidad Bicentenaria de Aragua before pursuing graduate studies in Spain, where she completed both a Master's Degree in Tax Law and a Postgraduate Degree in International Tax Law at the Universidad de Barcelona. She has since added a Paralegal Certificate from the University of Miami to her credentials, reflecting her commitment to continuous professional growth.
Irumi Garcia

Irumi Sikiu Garcia doesn't just work in immigration law — she lived it. Originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela, Irumi fled her country in 2021 after suffering political persecution, arriving in the United States with the courage it takes to start over in a country that wasn't yet hers. In 2022, she stood before an immigration court and defended her own case. That experience — navigating the fear, the uncertainty, and the complexity of the immigration system from the inside — is something she carries into every case she works on today.

Grecia Rodriguez brings to Angeles Law something that cannot be taught in any classroom: the firsthand experience of navigating a foreign legal system as an immigrant, while simultaneously holding the credentials of a trained attorney. Born and raised in Valencia, Venezuela, Grecia built an impressive legal and academic career across three Venezuelan cities — earning her law degree from Universidad Bicentenaria de Aragua, pursuing advanced studies at the prestigious IESA in Caracas, and completing a postgraduate specialization in Tax Law at Santa Maria University in 2009. Her law school thesis on civil procedural law was awarded a Publication Distinction by her university — recognition of both its academic rigor and its lasting contribution to the field.

That victory didn't mark the end of her journey; it marked the beginning of her commitment to help others fight for theirs. "My clients say that from the very first call, they feel like someone is truly on their side," she says. "To me, that means everything."
Elvira Huerta

Elvira Huerta's path to immigration law is one of the most unexpected — and most human — on the Angeles Law team. Born in Mexico City into a large, traditional family — parents, grandparents, aunts, and cousins all under one roof — Elvira grew up in Nezahualcóyotl, State of Mexico, where she went on to earn a Diploma in Electrical Engineering at the prestigious Instituto Politécnico Nacional (ESIME), supported by a three-year academic scholarship. Years later, she added a Certificate in Electronics and Robotics Engineering from Joliet Junior College in Illinois. She was, by every measure, an engineer.
